HOW TO MANAGE YOUR DIET, IN THIS HECTIC SCHEDULE/LIFESTYLE?

We often hear people complaining, “My work is very hectic, I cannot diet” or “ My work demands lots of time, I don’t have time to workout” or “My schedule is very erratic, I can not eat timely, I often skip meals” or even “ I travel a lot in my work, I cannot manage to diet & exercise.”
Don’t you feel we are just making excuses ? Can you close your eyes, take a deep breath and think it over ?
Have you ever realised the amount of hard work you are doing in your life to earn money. Do you think it will be of any use to you if you don’t have good health? Will you be able to enjoy the the little pleasures in life ? What you earn will only be given to doctors, to take care of your health or for expensive treatments if you don’t start taking care of yourself.
In our busy schedules, when we have time to eat all our meals why not choose a healthier way of living and eat healthy. A small change on your plate will make a big change in your life.
IF TIME IS PRECIOUS, ISN'T YOUR HEALTH TOO?
Our forefathers ate a little and moved a lot, and what we do is the opposite.
I guess I have scared you a little, but my motive is not to scare you but just try to be an eye opener to choose healthy.
Small changes in your routine will help you a lot in living a healthy life.
Some basic tips you can immediately incorporate from today as well as use while travelling
- choose what you eat wisely.
- Try to have more fibre in your diet, i.e more of salads and raw veggies. (because fibre gives you a sense of full filling to your stomach, which prevents you from unnecessary cravings)
- Every meal of yours should have salads.
- Give a shot to Protein, Complete your protein requirement by natural source first, that is whole food. Then by means of supplements.
- Meeting your daily adequate intake of protein will help you prevent muscle loss and, and since protein is slow in digesting, it keeps the hunger pangs at bay for a long time.
- Having protein rich food in every meal is very important, if you happen to skip meals.
- The world is blessed with inadequate supply of carbs, so choosing the best one is your duty.
- Choose right quantity and quality of carbs for better functioning of body throughout the day.
- Try not to exceed your daily calorie intake.
- Once your eating habits is in control, take the next step forward, i.e exercise
- Eating a nutritional diet throughout the day, will keep you energetic to hit the gym or go for walks, or yoga or even your favourite sports.
- Exercise and Healthy eating goes hand in hand, parallel to each other. It’s not easy to achieve goals with only one thing.
